LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA (June 5, 2017) – AlphaSTAR Corporation is proud to announce its Platinum Membership with America Makes. ASC has been a member of America Makes for two years and is thrilled to be partnering with the National Additive Manufacturing Institute for the third year in a row. This year the full suite of GENOA and MCQ software will be available at the America Makes Headquarters in Youngston, Ohio. 3D printing industry leaders, innovators and engineers are encouraged to take a look at the toolset, watch demos, follow a tutorial of the product and experience the quick and easy process of implementing power and accuracy into their own applications for 3D printing.
GENOA 3DP Simulation is an additive manufacturing design tool and software suite that simulates the 3D printing process to accurately predict the deflection, residual stress, damage initiation, and crack growth formation associated with as-built AM parts. Advanced Multi-Scale Progressive Failure Analysis methods are used to replicate the entire 3D printing process from the level of Material Characterization to Advanced Structural Analysis in order to determine voids, delamination, manufacturing anomalies, and other irregularities and inefficiencies from micro to macro scales.
More significantly, GENOA 3DP Simulation provides the end user with an ability to import an STL file/G-Code; generate a structural mesh, run analysis and optimize the build in order to reduce weight, reduce scrap rate, improve performance and meet specification. As the national accelerator for additive manufacturing (AM), America Makes is the nation’s leading and collaborative partner in AM and 3DP technology research, discovery, creation, and innovation. Structured as a public-private partnership with member organizations from industry, academia, government, non-government agencies, and workforce and economic development resources, they work together to innovate and accelerate AM to increase the nation’s global manufacturing competitiveness. America Makes is the first Institute within the Manufacturing USA infrastructure and is driven by the National
Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM). For more information, visit http://americamakes.us.
